COLUMBIA, MO. - The American LED Alliance announces today the inclusion of Orion Energy Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: OESX) on its Leadership Council. Orion is one of few authentic “Made in USA” LED lighting manufacturers in compliance with the Buy American Act (BAA). BAA is increasingly important for federal government contracting, given President Trump’s Buy American and Hire American Executive Order and the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which includes $11.3 billion for military improvements, including lighting upgrades. The U.S. government fiscal year began on October 1st, and the improvements are expected to commence over the fiscal fourth quarter of 2018 through 2019.
