  Household products containing toxic chemicals like pesticides, oil-based  paints, solvents, cleaning products, weed killers and electronics can be a  threat to people and the environment if improperly discarded in the trash or  down the drain. Computers and electronics will not be collected at this event,  but will be accepted at future collections. See the website for full details on  what will be accepted as well as upcoming collection dates and locations.  Collection will take place rain or shine.

  Join us for a spring walk on trails and back roads of the Upper Pennypack,  visiting the Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust, the magnificent  architecture of Bryn Athyn, and new and proposed trails along the Pennypack.  We’ll eat our lunches out in the countryside, and conclude the day’s adventure  over dinner with a discussion of land and park planning in Montgomery County.  Trip fee of $25 for members of any of the sponsoring organizations ($30 for  non-members) includes breakfast & train fares, but not lunch or dinner.

  Join our annual springtime effort to make Pennypack Creek more beautiful by  removing trash from the creek and its banks before vegetation begins to grow  and hide the debris. Bring work gloves and waterproof footwear. Your hard work  will be rewarded with a feeling of great satisfaction for a job well done and  lunch back at the Visitors' Center. Preregistration requested by April 16.

Special Presentation: The Schuylkill Center Artist in  Residence Gary Miller and students from the Green Woods Charter School will  present their collaborative project, "A Meadow by The Green Woods."
