As LED enthusiasts, we were surprised to be reading an article about energy efficient lighting without any mention of our favorite species of bulb, but bulbs were the least of Simple Steps' concerns. They're thinking outside the lamp, suggesting that home efficiency tinkerers consider paint, mirrors, and flooring when adjusting a space for maximum bang for minimum lighting buck.
