The Complete Hawaiian Reef Fish Coloring Book is an eco-friendly coloring book printed on recycled paper that will teach children how to identify over 80 species of reef fishes! It includes over 200 colorable illustrations that will help children learn about fish varieties, the coral reef, and saving our seas. It is educational and fun all in one.

Mo Smells Red, Mo Smells Green and Mo Smells the Holidays by Margaret Hyde are three fun books. These books take young children on an adventure of an eco-friendly nature with Mo the dog and on a scentsational adventure through vibrant scents and hues of the holidays.

Cycle Of Rice, Cycle Of Life: A Story Of Sustainable Farming by Jan Reynolds is a fascinating story of the eco-system and how rice has been grown for centuries on the island of Bali. This is a very detailed book for older readers ages 7-12. The pictures are fantastic and it provides many learning opportunities and teaching points. I even learned many new things reading this book.

What's It Like, Living Green? by Jill Vanderwood offers a unique perspective of kids teaching kids how they live green. This is a good book geared toward the pre-teen or teen child. I liked that they used actual real life children’s stories to illustrate how one could better live green. They have quizzes and examples and lots of thing to make the subject come alive. It’s a good book for inspiration when you hear all these things that children have done. It may even inspire the parent reading over your children’s shoulder.

Greening Your Family by Lindsey Carmichael is a great example of a little going a long way. I liked her straight simple forthright approaching to greening your family. She had easy to interpret charts and lists that make it easy for you to make greener and healthier choices for your family. Some of my favorite lists were the top 15 ingredients to avoid in your body products and save sunscreen products. I will be giving this book out at baby showers in the future for sure.

I Cherish Planet Earth Book and Matching Game is a unique book and a 48 piece matching game with affirmations for the whole family. This book is inspiring and spreads the message of love for the Earth. The item itself is also eco-friendly made from recycled paper/cardboard and printed with vegetable based inks and it is made in the USA too so it hasn’t been shipped across the world to even get here.

10 Things I Can Do To Help My World by Melanie Walsh, helps children to make a difference in their everyday life by showing them what they can do to save the planet. This book has bold, die-cut pages that will draw the reader in and easy everyday tips on how we can be kinder to the earth. These tips are easy to incorporate into our everyday lives and can be a good starting place for eco-awareness for younger children. This book is geared for pre-schoolers through first graders.

Recycled Crafts Box and Nature's Art Box: From t-shirts to twig baskets, 65 cool projects for crafty kids to make with natural materials you can find anywhere by Laura C. Martin are two great books for the artist child in your life. Geared for 1st through 6th graders these books give you a variety of art projects that can be done with things found in your backyard or recycling bin for little or no money. It’s a great way to teach recycling through nature.
