Recycled Percussion is a Goffstown-based band who is currently impressing both the judges and audience of the show America's Got Talent. They are a group of "rock junk" artists who describe themselves as "powerful industrial drumming backed by metal grinding guitar and hip-hop/funk".
The band members were attending to Goffstown High School in Goffstown, NH when the first formed the group. In their act, Recycled Percussion uses recycled objects, including ladders, pots, pans and 50-gallon drums as musical instruments. They feature both original music and covers of popular rock songs in their performances.
The group is led by an extremely talented drummer named Justin Spencer. Recycled Percussion came up with the idea by using trashcans or buckets instead drums to make music. They play a variety of musical genres including metallic, reggae, techno, blues, hip hop and classic rock using instruments created out of recycled everyday items.
