Philadelphia is on its way to becoming a great riverfront city full of cultural, economic and environmental potential. The Coalition for Philadelphia’s Riverfronts (CPR) has plans to create a scenic walking, biking, skating and blading trail that is connected to the city and follows the edges of the Schuylkill and Delaware rivers.
Join CPR or find out more on Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 5 to 7 pm when CPR will discuss the campaign and offer discounted kayaking.
At the free event, CPR will talk about how the new greenway will help the city’s economy, the ways it will support Greenworks’ goal to make Philadelphia the greenest city in America, and how a continuous, connected trail along our rivers will benefit everyone who lives in or visits Philadelphia.
CPR will be offering discounted kayaking thanks to partners the Pennsylvania Environmental Council (PEC) and the Schuylkill River Development Corporation, Hidden River Outfitters after the event so you can get out and enjoy the river.
Meet up at the new Schuylkill Banks Plaza at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive adjacent to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The kayaking tour is offered at a discounted price of $25.
