The post below is from Independence LED Lighting provided on their LinkedIn page: https://www.linkedin.com/company/independence-led-lighting/

The focus is on Gas Station Canopy lighting, and we felt that the impact across the U.S. is significant. According to the National Petroleum News, Station Count, there are over 160,000 retail locations in the U.S. that sell fuel to the public. Saving energy and supporting climate change reduction is not just about solar panels and electric cars, but it is about "Energy Intelligence" at small touch points wherever possible.

Independence LED Lighting is one of the first authentic Buy American Act - BAA Compliant LED Lighting companies, and they are also a member of the American LED Alliance.  Producing clean technology in America helps reduce energy waste and it also helps create jobs in America.

After last week's post with the "Turn off the lights!!!" headline on the photo of the gas station canopy, we followed up to see if other gas stations were guilty of the same energy waste. Fortunately we found some facilities that were not wasting electricity during the day.

Reinforcement Message: Turning off the lights during the day is good for you and the environment. In America, we use 25% of the world's energy with less than 5% of the population. We teach our kids to turn off the lights when they leave a room, and companies certainly don't need to be running outside lights during the day. Here's an example of one "BAD" situation that took the initiative to change their old lights to more energy efficient LEDs, but failed to include or correctly use the sensors that automatically turn them off from dawn to dusk.

We work with customers to fix the lighting and provide maximum savings and the highest ROI on LEDs... which often include smart control sensors.
