Green Education

 

While it may only be as temporary as the lockdowns that have precipitated it, there has been a sharp decrease in CO2 emissions around the globe since measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus began. The daily global emissions of CO2 plummeted by 17% in April of this year. The stay-at-home and shelter-in-place orders turned some of the world’s largest cities into relative ghost towns, leading to this drop in greenhouse gases. 

Colour temperature can change the ambiance of a room entirely.  It can, for example, turn a nice, romantic, atmospheric dinner to a ‘deer in the headlights’ affair (and you don’t want that!). Ever wonder why restaurants tend to have softer lighting, while hospitals tend to have those very bright lights? 

It’s all about colour temperature.

Climate change is associated with many daunting threats to our planet and way of life, including rising sea levels, severe weather patterns, food shortages and famines, and record-breaking fires. E-Commerce has made a world of difference to our shopping habits as they affect the environment.

Survey reveals that there is at least a psychological effect, if not a biological one, in the workplace

 

Traveling the world can allow you to interact with people from other cultures, enjoy beautiful landscapes, sample foreign cuisine, and appreciate architecture and art that is different from what you’re used to. Aside from being a lot of fun, these experiences can broaden your perspective and help you to become a more understanding person.

 

It’s easy enough for most people to admit that finding ways to go green is good for the natural environment. After all, who doesn’t love clean air? Unfortunately, because the negative effects of our energy consumption habits are often very subtle in our day-to-day lives, it’s difficult to feel committed to making positive changes. The convenience of “the way things are” is often all too compelling.

 

Going green doesn’t always have to mean investing in solar panel systems and revamping your backyard with artificial turf—at least to start. The smallest of changes can often have the biggest impact. Going green also doesn’t have to be expensive; with incremental changes and small investments, you can actually save a significant chunk of change. If you’re feeling inspired and want to revamp your efforts to live a green, environmentally friendly lifestyle that provides numerous health benefits, adopt some of these habits and make a difference.
