Typically, when an HVAC system turns off, shortly after, the blower fan motor turns off. The Entergy Louisiana Entergy Solutions Program has been strengthening the resiliency of Louisiana businesses through its New Construction pilot program. The Entergy Solutions New Construction pilot offering provides incentives for qualifying projects to adopt and implement energy efficient design and construction.
The pilot was launched in early 2021 targeting Entergy Louisiana customers affected by Hurricanes Laura and Delta in 2020. It includes prescriptive incentives for energy efficient equipment such as LED lighting, high efficiency HVAC, ENERGY STAR commercial kitchen equipment and low flow water fixtures.
Following the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Ida in Louisiana last year, the Entergy Solutions program expanded the pilot to assist more customers. In 2021, the pilot paid more than $70,000 worth of incentives, saving more than 600,000 kWh annually for participating commercial and industrial customers.
