Ceiling Cassette Disinfection for COVID-19 in Maryland

Reducing the spread of COVID-19 includes Ceiling Cassette Disinfection to clean the air in rooms that do not use HVAC systems with ducts. Ceiling Cassettes are installed into the ceiling where the mechanics are hidden. They often cover larger areas than wall-mounted units, and in some cases, they allow you to control the direction of air flow. Ceiling Cassette units come in different styles and with different features to address the needs of a broad range of ductless HVAC applications.

Business owners and homeowners face increasing challenges with COVID-19 to adequately disinfect rooms and promote safety.

Our Purge Virus team is pleased to provide multiple solutions that include UV light, Photoplasma, and Bipolar Ionization. Our Bipolar Ionization solutions have been well received, because in addition to helping to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Ceiling Cassette Disinfection also removes odors from sources such as tobacco and cannabis.

WE DON’T MAKE Ceiling Cassette Systems…WE RETROFIT THEM TO DISINFECT INDOOR AIR

Save Energy and Increase Equipment Life: For customers that engage us for the combined device and installation, we provide Preventive Maintenance. Regular Ceiling Cassette maintenance can maximize energy savings and extend the life of your HVAC equipment. The keys to proper Preventive Maintenance (PM) include checking the Air Filter, Vent Screen, Front Grille, Sleeve, Base Pan and Condenser Coil, and Clearance Check on the air intake and discharge.

For us to help match the available technology to your in-room HVAC systems, please let us know the manufacturer’s name and model # of your Ceiling Cassette System units. From there we will provide you with a free assessment of the most applicable solution for Ceiling Cassette Disinfection. The average cost of equipment and installation per room is coming in at $550-$650. We also offer zero upfront cost financing over 3-5 years. The monthly cost can be as low as $10 per month per room.

For more news on COVID-19 in Maryland: COVID-19 cases increasing in Maryland

“New coronavirus cases increased in 6.3% in Maryland in the latest week ending Saturday as the state added 17,731 cases. The previous week had 16,686 new cases of the virus that causes COVID-19.

Maryland ranked No. 38 among the states where coronavirus was spreading the fastest on a per-person basis, a USA TODAY Network analysis of Johns Hopkins University data shows. In the latest week, the United States added 1,435,654 reported cases of coronavirus, an increase of 8.2% from the week before. Across the country, 35 states had more cases in the latest week than they did in the week before.

Testing has changed around the holidays, making comparisons difficult. Labs and testing sites closed. People traveled or prepared for the holidays instead of getting tested. Some counties and states didn't report data as quickly.

Within Maryland, the worst weekly outbreaks on a per-person basis were in Washington, Somerset and Worcester counties. Adding the most new cases overall were Prince George's County, with 2,927 cases; Montgomery County, with 2,860 cases; and Baltimore County, with 1,995. Weekly case counts rose in 21 counties from the previous week. The worst increases from the prior week's pace were in Baltimore, Prince George's and Anne Arundel counties.”
