As children across the country prepare to head back to school to start the new school year, a new online animated series has launched to help make learning about the environment fun and easy. The E-Team (short for Eco Team) is made up of five members each possessing a specific gift for knowledge in topics such as recycling, energy, green building, nature and water. The group members include Liz, Zack, Tasha, Sam and Charlie and have been created and animated by Emily Kesselman.

Each episode focuses on a specific eco topic and provides a lesson in how children can easily incorporate green living in their everyday lives. Throughout the episodes children have an opportunity to participate by answering questions along the way. The first three episodes have been completed and are now available for free on the web. Parents will also enjoy watching these videos with their kids.

The first episode “Feed the Right Bin” helps kids answer questions such as the following: How long does a bottle take to break down once it ends up in the trash? What can recycled plastic can be used for? How many types of recyclable plastics are there?

The second episode “How Much Water” teaches children the importance of conserving water and what they can do to make a positive impact.

The third episode “Planning an Organic Garden” introduces kids to organic gardening and how they can begin creating an organic garden with their parents in their own backyard.
