Environmental Working Group recently updated its Pesticides Shopper’s Guide and has made it available now as an iPhone application for download.

EWG’s guide is a valuable resource when you’re shopping so you will know which conventionally-grown fruits and vegetables are okay to buy and when you should go organic.

Among the fruits and vegetables with the highest amount of pesticides listed by EWG are peaches, apples, sweet bell peppers, celery and nectarines.

The list is based on data from tests conducted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration.
