A new First Friday environmental and sustainable living video-discussion series is coming to the award-winning Environmental Home Store in Doylestown, PA. January's video, is "The Next Industrial Revolution: The Birth of the Sustainable Economy". Winner of several awards, it features international design pioneers: the visionary William McDonough and Michael Braungart, and is narrated by Susan Sarandon. Those seeking a fundamental solution to our unsustainable way of life will find answers in this original documentary. McDonough's landmark Cradle to Cradle approach takes Janine Benyus' concept of Biomimicry (Innovation Inspired by Nature) to its practical epitome. "There are very few visionaries who are practical - Bill McDonough is one of the most profound environmental thinkers in the world", said William Clay Ford Jr., the Buddhist Executive Chairman of the Ford Motor Company. Experts on hand will answer your questions on how to save money on energy, live healthfully, and prevent climate change.

Annie's Project is a national extension program that provides risk management education for women farmers. Annie's Project will take place over six focused workshops. A fee of $50.00 includes meals and materials for all six sessions. Through the program, participants will learn how to identify risks that affect their farm, prioritize risks, and develop a risk management plan.
