Pencils

If your job requires intensive pencil use, you might be clearing forests without even knowing it.  The wood in pencils may come from deforestation, which directly contributes to the climate change we are currently experiencing.  The options for eco-Pencils are vast, and you might be surprised where they are coming from.

Triggerwood mechanical pencils are like every mechanical pencil you’ve ever used, except that it is made from sustained yield scrap wood and black oxide steel.  These pencils are less toxic and will last longer.

But if you’re interested in a plain old Number 2, try a pencil made of Denim reclaimed from the blue jean manufacturing process.  Pencils can also be found made of recycled paper, recycled newspaper, and, for the Aristocrat in all of us, post-consumer recycled currency.
