Scarlett Johansson, who has recently promoted a national campaign to encourage recycling of unused cell phones, has just been named the face of Mango fashion.

Although the fashion retailer has not made an apparent pledge to be eco-friendly, their new model has been linked with the Environmental Media Association, Oxfam and climate change in her causes.

The word “efficient” made it into the 2009 Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C., the Associated Press reported. The national contest wraps up May 28.
