Ok, our first segment is about"; indoor air quality";. How to improve it and what to look for. .. Doug?

What to look for you are trying to improve your homes air quality.

  1. Clean your furnace have it serviced oil or gas electric check up..
  2. Check filters: furnace, vacuum, air cleaners, a/c, ductwork, oven, stove, bathroom fan filters
  3. Tape job on your ductwork, especially at turns and 90 degree joints
  4. Basement: exit passages for pipes and tubing seal
  5. Basement: vent tubes and washer dryer vents
  6. Basement: Mildew and French drain back up, sealed concrete floors ( dusting ) sealed walls also
  7. Radon Gas test
  8. Check for unsealed insulation and shedding
  9. Asbestos check
  10. Seals around windows and doors
  11. V O C and off gassing: rugs, flooring, curtains, furniture, new cabinets, countertops and glue, paints, wood oils, and cleansers
  12. Ozone air cleaners and / or hepa filter air cleaners, you will need to vacuum a lot more, fans on light mode
  13. Plants - you want lots of big leaf plants
