What are the benefits of using low-flow shower heads?

I have a family of seven and in the morning we use a lot of water getting ready taking showers. I heard that low-flow shower heads can reduce water consumptions. Is this true and will we notice a difference when taking a shower?
The Expert Answer:
Less hot water means less water and energy wasted – a no-brainer. Low flow shower heads today are much improved from the ones back in the 70’s. You probably won’t even notice that you are using less water.

I tried one of the new generation shower heads. There is definitely a noticeable difference. There will be savings but don't believe there is not a difference
