How do we end the myth that going “green” is expensive?

Do you think that the myth that going "green" is always an expensive alternative will ever end?
The Expert Answer:
If you think about it, going “green” means using less energy, water, and materials. If you use less, it should cost less. In the short run, some “green” products may cost more (you usually pay a small premium to be the “first on your block” to have a new technology – do you remember $200 digital watches or $10,000 personal computers), but over time, I am confident that products that use less stuff will cost less money.
