Commercial LED Lighting Solutions Part 1 of 3 Why Now?

This is the first in a three part article series on “Green” communications. Communicating any disruptive technology takes clarity and focus. Business decision makers do not have time to read through volumes of research analysis, watch dozens of videos, or click through long powerpoint presentations. Facility Manager, “What’s the real savings on our maintenance labor?” LED Answer: Long life significantly reduces maintenance costs. Energy Manager, “What’s the real impact on our lighting energy costs?” LED Answer: Efficiency saves 50% or more on lighting energy costs. Sustainability Director, “How does lighting compare to other Sustainability and CO2 measures?” LED Answer: Retrofits offer the most cost-effective CO2 reduction. Human Resource Director, “How will new lights impact employee productivity?” LED Answer: Reduced eye strain increases employee productivity. Chief Financial Officer or COO, “What’s the ROI on this lighting retrofit?” LED Answer: ROI is over 33% and financing is cash-flow positive. Chief Executive Officer, “Will this increase our net operating income?” LED Answer: Lower operating costs increase company profit. Board of Directors or Owners, “Is this the best time to invest in new technology, and will it increase shareholder value?” LED Answer: The cost of waiting is high, and shareholder value increases as profits increase.
