On Tuesday, we found out that three big companies - BP America, ConocoPhillips, and Caterpillar - will be discontinuing their efforts to lobby the US government for climate change legislation.

That same day, however, another group of companies - Nike, Starbucks, Ben & Jerry's, and Seventh Generation among them - launched an effort to convince Congress to resurrect climate change legislation. They're touring the country, Pacific to Atlantic, starting with yesterday's kick-off event at Nike headquarters in Oregon, and ending in Washington on March 10.

Limits or taxes on greenhouse gas emissions won't be easy for a lot of companies to handle, but it's worth noting that some other companies aren't afraid.
