Mark McGraw joined the GREENandSAVE team before the launch of the website when he got involved with Charlie and Cynthia on the prototype eco-house. Mark is a great friend of the family, and he is also an outstanding carpenter who worked with Charlie on ‘mission critical’ aspects of the remodeling like the home entertainment cabinet for the new flat screen TV!

More importantly, Mark has worked as the on-air talent on ‘Spice Up My Kitchen’. The show won the highest rating on Home and Garden Television (HGTV) over the summer of 2007, and Mark is intimately familiar with homeowner needs, the means to reach their goals, and the way to clearly communicate the process. Mark and Charlie continue to immerse themselves in cost-effective home remodeling solutions and product testing. As the ‘Green Home Guys’, they focus on homeowner savings and eco-smart solutions through extensive Research that leads to Design, and then…they Build.

Mark McGraw was born in New York City in 1972. He grew up in New York and Philadelphia, Pa., and later moved to Oregon to go to college and because of his love for the outdoors. After graduating, McGraw had a 10-year career as a firefighter/paramedic with the city of Springfield, Ore. On his days off, he enjoyed woodworking, construction projects as well as working/studying as an actor.

After losing his father to brain cancer, McGraw made the decision to move to Los Angeles to pursue his love of acting. He has appeared in several national commercials, independent films and TV shows.

McGraw has a solid background in building construction and has designed and built his last two homes. He has remodeled several homes and has a good eye for detail. When he's not working, he enjoys the outdoors and playing sports.
